Today, The Sartorialist posted this image and asked what his readers thought of the idea of being fashionable vs having style. I agree that there is a difference between the two. A girl can be "fashionable" and dressed in head to toe trendy designers--and look like it. I absolutely LOVE the look of the young woman above. I don't know if those are items are from Saks or the Salvation Army, but she looks cool and stylish and like the kind of woman you want to know (or be, really).On an unrelated note--I love the idea of oversized clutches, like the one above, but I'm not sure they are practical. There was a beautiful one in the Autumn-Winter 2010/2011 Dries Van Noten show that I lusted after, but I just can't imagine actually carrying one around.
