The Peter Som show this season was absolutely outstanding, and I'm having a hard time not just posting all of the images from the collection. I only chose a few, and let's start with the above, shall we? Readers of this blog are far too familiar with my obsession with mixing fancy and casual pieces, specifically in the form of parka jackets and fancy skirts and dresses. I don't know what it is, but there is something about that combination that makes me happy. I'm really into the fur collar of the coat above, especially paired with that bright red/pink.
Expertly tailored, liquid like sequin pieces are, to me, the ultimate luxury. This outfit is so rich looking that you ignore the fact that is is basically just a long sleeve top and a pencil skirt. SPARKLES.
To return to my earlier-mentioned love of mixing high and low, let's address the absolute perfection of this gown...THAT HAS POCKETS. When I look at my life, I honestly do not foresee ever needing a floor length gown, but if I did, I would want it to be this one. Imagine wearing this to a stuffy, black tie event. You could keep all kinds of things in those pockets, like snacks! Also, it's gorgeous.Check out the rest of the show, it's fantastic and definitely worth the four minute investment.
